Jimmy Buffett Concert
I was offered 4 tickets to the Jimmy Buffett concert here at Philips Arena. It was pretty cool. There was a ton of REALLY drunk people. Really drunk already at 8pm. Buffett has some really hard-core fans. I went with Laura, Kristi, & Jetta. It was fun.

Earth Day at the Nature Preserve
Katie & I decided it would be nice to take Jazz for a walk at the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve on Earth Day. We saw all kinds of birds, including a wood pecker, and a rabbit way bigger than Jazz!
Hangin' @ Piedmont Park
Saturday, Laura & I took Kate to Piedmont Park. It was a beautiful spring afternoon with lots of people out enjoying the day.

Saw the lights of the Goodyear Blimp...
The Goodyear Blimp was scoping out my beautiful, freshly mowed front lawn this afternoon. I guess they had to take a break from the Final Four to take a gander at the lawn of legend...not to brag or anything. ;-)

Near-Record Pollen Count
Yep, that's my car covered in a ludicrous amount of wheeze-inducing pollen. The third picture was taken at the foot of the Promenade II building as I walked to the MARTA station after work. Yesterday Atlanta recorded the second highest pollen count on record. Yikes! Fortunately, I have things pretty well under control with my new allery medications. I'll still take 1-2 weeks of severe pollen over 2-3 months of snow, slush, gray skies & bitter cold. It's greater in Decatur! Woot!

Atlanta Hunger Walk
Today Laura, Katie & I participated in the Hunger Walk down at Turner Field and donated to the Atlanta Food Bank and Lutheran Services of Georgia. It was another beautiful Georgia day. Sunny & about 72.
'The' Big Chicken'
Laura & I were OTP yesterday to go to a children's consignment sale @ Mt. Paran Church North. We picked up a bunch of clothes & toys for Katie for about $45. Most things were under $3. Then we went to Williamson Bros. BBQ to get the best pulled pork in town. On our way back to the A, we passed Marrietta's famous Big Chicken. I snapped this picture w/ my phone as we rolled by so I could share it with all of you who may not have seen this quirky Atlanta icon.

Weather
Just back from a walk around the 'hood with mommy & daddy. Man, the weather has been great lately. Now, I'm headed down the street to my neighbor's house for a meeting discussing how our neighborhood might get an easement to build a bridge over the South Peachtree Creek to give us access to the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve on the other side.

View from My Cube
So, my coworker has purple post-its with smiley faces on them from another employee. He hasn't taken them down even after incessant teasing from the rest of us. This morning, 2 of us decided to add a few more for what we believe gives his monitor a nice friendly look.
